Literature Tutoring Experience
Experience & Approach
I have over nine years of experience teaching English Literature and I previously tutored at a reputable tuition centre before co-founding The Write Way. Many students come to me saying: “I understand the story, but I don’t know how to answer the question or score.”
My teaching is built precisely around solving this problem. I specialise in helping students build strong analytical skills, structured essays, and confidence in reading and interpreting literature books. My teaching approach is method-based, highly personalised, and rooted in making complex texts accessible.
I’ve taught students from a wide range of schools and backgrounds, including those with ADHD, anxiety, and depressive disorders. I adapt pacing, techniques, and workload to the student’s needs while maintaining clear expectations and consistent academic growth.
During lessons, I emphasise understanding over memorisation, guiding students to recognise patterns in questions, unpack themes, and develop their own voice in writing.
Even though texts vary across JCs and secondary schools, I have taught widely across all syllabuses and levels. With over a decade of specialised education in Literature, I guide students confidently through all components — set texts, unseen poetry and prose, and comparative analysis.

Method & Support
Students receive structured notes, quote banks, thematic and character guides, and curated O-level and A-level practice questions. These tuition materials are reviewed and updated every year according to syllabus changes and evolving exam trends. Everything is designed to make English Literature less foreign, more intuitive, and enjoyable!
